Who we are
Tim and Debra Sheehan have been in the healing arts practice for almost 50 years combined. Debra has 30 years of experience and Tim has been in the industry for 17. Debra’s private practice is in Osceola, Ind. while Tim’s private practice is in South Bend, Ind. They founded BodyMatters, Inc., which provides bodywork, coaching services, and stress relief products for adults and children. BodyMatters helps empower people to “awaken the healer within,” so they live happier, healthier, more creative lives on mental, emotional, physical and spiritual levels.
Tim Sheehan – Massage Therapist CMT
Tim is one of the best massage therapists in the South Bend area. He studied his art in Chicago, Florida and Indiana, learning from some of the top people in the industry. He has worked with health clubs, chiropractors and doctors to provide their clients and patients relief from pain due to injuries and strains from everyday life. His skills include Deep Tissue/Medical and Swedish massage. He is also skilled in Healing Touch and Assisted Stretching.

Debra Sheehan – CMT, RCST, Licensed HeartMath Coach/Educator/Trainer
Debra has studied with bodywork masters learning forms such as massage, craniosacral therapy, ortho-bionomy, EFT, and Bio-energetic Synchronization Techinque. She studied with the Hakomi Institute in mind/body therapy along with Trauma resolution work. Went on to study with Dick Schwartz in Internal Family Systems. She also studied with Karlton Terry in Boulder on pre-natal and peri-natal birth psychology. Debra also spent many years with the Matrix Leadership Institute learning about groups and then facilitating with that organization. At the National Coalition Building Institute she learned more about diversity, including the importance of honoring and respecting each other’s cultures. Debra believes everything is energy, so she has studied how this energy is locked in our bodies and minds and how to aid in releasing these patterns. She spent 4 years with Morter Institute studying “Energy Codes” with Dr. Sue Morter. Debra trained with the Institute of HeartMath to become a licensed provider, coach/mentor and trainer. She integrates all of her studies to help clients in “knowing thyself” and encourage them to live happier, healthier lives. Clients benefit from her ability to be present in her heart and she holds the space for people to explore themselves.
Debra also coaches people on how to manage the stress in their lives by teaching them proven tools in neuroscience that transform habits of anger, worry, anxiety, ADD, etc. She has helped schools incorporate these tools for teachers and students so they perform better, learn better and are more creative and happy at school. These school programs are designed for children ranging from elementary grades through high school and college levels.
Debra is also a licensed massage therapist, a registered craniosacral therapist and a practitioner of orthobionomy.
